The Confederacy lost the Civil War for many reasons that could’ve impacted the results of the Civil War. One reason is that the south didn’t have as many resources as the North. In fact, as of 1860, 97% of the Guns in the USA were made in the North. Additionally, 94% of the pig iron was made in the North. The North blocked its rivers, so supplies couldn’t be sent to the south. So, the North had more resources than the south. All the south really had was big farms. The North had the advantage because they had factories, and mines where they could get resources.
