How is the essay-grading software going to know if an individual is thinking critically? The software is a computer and cannot tactically read like a human. Many forms critically thinking are in existence. A student may take a divergent or convergent way of thinking. The way a student performs depends on the student at hand.
Software grading is an understandable need that is coming forth. For a class that has 500-600 students, software grading would make giving out essays easier because the teacher would not have to spend countless hours giving perfunctory feedback. In a class of that size, having a software grading system would help the teacher tremendously. Furthermore, if a student needed additional feedback, the teacher would be there to help the
