Many things in life can be taken from you, but one thing you have total control over is your education. College is important to me because having an education will give me the opportunity to learn new skills that will not only help me excel in my career field but also in my daily life.Being able to provide for my son means everything to me, and in order to be a good leader and provider I HAVE TO be able to support him. I want him to grow up and be proud of who his mom is. I want him to be able to live in a good community, attend good schools (including college) and also play in sports if he chooses to do so. Even though these goals may seem like each and every other parents goals I firmly believe that the only way for me to truly suceed at them are to attend college and get a degree in a good field. …show more content…
Both of my parents have always been hard workers. I dont think I can even think of a time when I heard them complain about doing something for my 5 siblings or myself.But I do always remember them being on our backs about how we carreid ourselvies and bringing home good grades. I also remember them sitting me down once and trying to explain how inportant it was for me to be happy in life. They told me I would never be happy in life if I didnt do something I love and that if I didnt go to school and get my education Ill always have someone else to answer
