I personally come from a low income family so I know firsthand the struggles of paying for higher education. I graduated high school with a 4.8 GPA, graduating in the top 10 percentile of my class and even then I was hardly rewarded with scholarship money. I not only strived in my academics but also took part in several activities and clubs such as student government and NHS (National Honor Society). Later in my high school career I became a student athlete, participating in three varsity sports. I strived during my high school career like many other students to succeed and move on to gain higher education. I also like many of my peers will suffer from debt when I graduate college. It seems as if debt from student loans has become a norm in our society and not a good one if I must say. As I have lunches and dinners with some of my fellow peers and friends I have learned that I am not alone, something must change. We have seeked higher knowledge because not only is it extremely difficult to find a well-paying job without a degree but it is what we have been taught, after high school comes college. Unfortunately many young students will be unable to enjoy the luxuries of higher education and will struggle to answer questions like the ones earlier asked if these prices keep
