Most pro athletes go bankrupt after they retire, Bankruptcy isn't the only reason athletes should stay in college. It is just one of the biggest ones because they won’t have enough money to live in the same house or have everything they did when they were in the NBA. They are both professional sports. The NFL does it because college athletes don't have the body build for the NFL quite yet. The NFL doesn't allow “one and done” because they want the college athletes to produce for the and be prepared for such a demanding sport. Basketball is a demanding sport too, although it is much less demanding and easier to get used to. Most people agree that college athletes should stay in school for all four years, and I agree. We should have college athletes of all sports stay at least three years, so they don’t fail in the long run. One and done players are often good, but some are busts and if they would stay in college they would have a higher chance at being successful in the NBA instead of not making a living off of
