College students purchase many unnecessary items that may not be as wise to others. We sometimes forget the difference between a need and a want, and that will be harmful for many of us in the near future. Budgeting is a huge part of many people’s lifestyle so that they’ll have enough funds to sustain a decent life. It’s also a concept that many college students must grasp before graduating and moving into the real world. Living life isn’t cheap, and there are many reasons why. I chose to pursue a college education for three monumental reasons. My first reason was because I wanted to be successful. Internal influences are things that go on inside the consumer’s mind and heart or that are indeed truly a part of the consumer (33 out of a total of 100). The internal influences affected my decision to attend ISU because it describes learning, intuition, and attitudes. Learning affected my decision because it’s a process. I wanted to obtain new knowledge and I knew that this institution would be the best place for me to receive a quality education. Next we have intuition; this affected my decision because of the unconscious feeling that came to me once I applied. I had a hunch that this university would be the best place for me to attend during my four year stay. The total for these rented and purchased books came up to a total of $319.92. I also spent money on oil changes twice during the semester, and I always go to Station Break 10 Min Oil Lube-South so that I know I’m getting quality at a fast pace. Both oil changes came to $38.45, which included everything I needed for my car to function correctly. Shortly after my last oil change, my transmission gasket was leaking. My car was down for three days and it cost $220.86 to fix. Now, my 21st Birthday was on September 5th of this year, so of course I needed an outfit for my special day. The attire came up to $44.62 and it was worth every penny. From the hat to the cardigan and the shoes; my birthday outfit was one that I will never forget. Being 21 years of age caused me to spend quite a bit on drinks while spending time with friends. My total amount came up to $76.00 even (not including cash
