Why Cloning Is Bad

Improved Essays
In overall the world is evolving to become a better world. Technology has advanced so much. For example without technology the world would have never been able to begin cloning. Clones are genetic copies of an animal. The cloning process is a very complicating and expensive procedure with little outcome. The outcome of having a high quality meat is only 20 percent. The other 80 percent involves infertility and even the death of off springs. Many people around the world do not believe in the cloning because the animals are not god made. The FDA says it is healthy and safe, but in the other hand Europe has done their studies. Cloning to me it is unorthodox. I believe the animals are in danger and we can possibly become harmed from cloning.

The downside to that though is the cost. I could see the government only accepting cloning so that they could control it and get more money. That is one reason I would like to keep it banned. The most important reason I would like to keep it banned is because we do not know whether or not it is safe enough to do for humans. We have had plenty of practice on animals, but no one to confirm whether or not this will work for the best.…

The reproductive cloning of human embryos is largely considered unethical because a human clone would have a greatly decreased quality of life; clones often suffer from genetic and physical abnormalities, and have greatly shortened lifespans. Others fear that the reproductive cloning of human embryos has the potential to be abused. In theory, one could create human clones for purpose of organ harvesting. For these reasons, many countries have halted research on the reproductive cloning of humans.…

Cloning is a sin in front of god because in the bible it says “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them “Genesis 1:27. God created people in his own image, and for babies to be created in mother’s womb, in the natural way not in a test tube. Anyone who follows God and believes in the bible should not say cloning is right especially just for organ donation, because nobody should take away the life of another person because only God can take away lives. Men did not create our life but God did so a man should not have any right to take anybody’s life because only the creator can take what he gave ys therefore killing clones for donation purpose is murdering and it should be a crime. If people keep on cloning to save their loved ones or in the memory of them, then the generation is not going anywhere because we are going to keep on cloning the people that were here.…

There are many pros and cons to this amazing yet very difficult cloning issue. The pros would be scientific advancement and the preservation of species. Scientists could try to experiment on other animals, which could lead to cloned animals, and therefore, scientific advancement. As Carl Zimmer points out, “the only species we can hope to revive now are those that died within the past few tens of thousands of years and…

Did you know that 95% of cloning attempts fail? In addition to that, cloning puts a lot of stress on the surrogated mother and only about 16 animals have been successfully cloned. “The procedure is safe and has proved to be successful.”, says the CEO of VIAGEN, Inc., Blake Russell. But Pete Shanks, author of “Human Genetic Engineering: A Guide for Activists, Skeptics”, has a different idea.…

Another reason cloning should not be allowed is because the cloning process could cause severe pain and suffering to humans and animals. Cloning is a dangerous, and agonizing process. Despite years of endless research, approximately 95% of cloning attempts fail, leading to many unnecessary deaths in humans and animals. Even the clone could receive severe problems such as physiological impairments, severe birth defects, and an abrupt death. If cloning is practiced largely, many test subjects will die,…

The first reason we should not clone animals is because many people think it is wrong. According to recent surveys, sixty-four percent of Americans think that we should not clone animals due to moral reasons. Most feel that cloning is unnatural because it tampers with the animal’s reproductive system. They also argue that it is “playing God” to create new life in such an unnatural…

Cloning endangered species to save them is a horrible idea, doing this will bring back species that could go through more pain, or be very bad for our health, to contradict, all animals deserve a chance to survive without interference by the more intelligent species’. There are pros and cons to this controversial issue. Many people want to see dinosaurs again, but do not realize how dangerous they can be. Humans have grown into a very self-serving society, and don’t seem to care or want to understand the way nature works. Science now works with the money the economy pays them, not the moral values of the people. Science also doesn’t consider how natural selection has neatly organized mammalians since the beginning of time, and try to make nature cooperate with ideas that seem the polar opposite of how things used to work. But though people complain about the unnatural views of cloning, they don’t stop to understand the meanings of it all.…

There could be some good things about human cloning, but I think the scientist should just stick to cloning animals that would be better for the world than cloning humans. And I’m pretty sure it’s very expensive and cost millions of dollars for research. And Equipment When that money can be spent on something else like food or medicine for people in third world countries. Maybe in a world where things like that were normal that would be ok, but in this world i think that that just isn’t…

Cloning: Is it Right? In 1997 Scottish scientists successfully cloned a mammal for the first time, a sheep named Dolly. The technology that gave scientists the ability to clone a mammal created a debate because that same technology could possibly be used to clone a human. The question of whether or not humans should be cloned was now discussed for the first time. The government tried to pass several laws that prohibited the cloning of humans but few passed.…
