However, there is still a relatively small amount of information on the effects of inhaling propylene glycol, nicotine, polyethylene glycol, and vegetable glycerine, which are the main components of the inhalant of electronic cigarettes. III. Reasons that Go Against My Position The e-cigarette industry, the tobacco industry, their supporters and other researchers have an opposing point of view that e-cigarettes are an effective stop smoking aide and should be promoted as an effective tool in reducing tobacco product related deaths. The biggest piece of data that they repeatedly claim as evidence that supports their claims and point of view is a 2010-2012 survey of smokers in Hawaii that came to the conclusion that smokers who tried e-cigarettes as a NRT, were more serious about quitting smoking than others who had not. Another piece of information that they use to support their arguments is that in May of 2014, fifty-three nicotine specialists wrote the director of WHO with an argument that regulation of e-cigarettes should take advantage of their health benefits for society at large, in reducing smoking of traditional cigarettes and the health problems and premature…
