Beliefs are important in Christianity. Christian beliefs focus on the idea of God, the identity of Jesus Christ, and how people can be saved from sin.
• Jesus is the Son of God and is equal with God • Jesus was born of a virgin. Her name was Mary, she was visited by the angel Gabriel in Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph • Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. By having absolutely no sin in his life it proved that he truly was the son of God. • Jesus was crucified to pay the penalty for our sins • Jesus rose from the dead • We are saved by the grace of God; that is, we cannot add to or take away from Christ’s finished work on the cross as full payment for our sin
