This story is quite entertaining, but I would not classify this story as an entertainment piece. Since I think that it most closely resembles an informative article, I feel as if there should have been less feelings of emotion in the article. Since Chua was raised by a Chinese mother and she was a Chinese mother herself the majority of the information provided referenced the Chinese culture. This made me feel as if she was a bit one sided in the matter. In my opinion if a Chinese parent was to read this excerpt that it would have little to no effect on them. I don’t think they would understand the thought process behind the Western parent much more then they had previously
