According to (Amy Ross; 2010), eating foods with carbohydrates can give the brain its energy. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose or sugar, these are commonly found in grains, fruits, or vegetables. Iron can increase dopamine transmission, benefiting a person’s intelligence, or the mental process of acquiring knowledge.
People recognized breakfast as the most important meal of the day. People who consistently in take breakfast are more likely to have more nutrients, in which include the higher intake of dietary fiber, total carbohydrates and lower fat and lower cholesterol (Deshmukh - Taskar et al., 2010). Breakfast also greatly contributes to daily micronutrient intake (Balvin Frantzen et al., 2013). Studies say that having a healthy breakfast is more nutritionally complete, is higher in nutrients, vitamins (Zelman, Kathleen et al., 2007). Iron, Vitamin B and Vitamin D are nutrients that have high percentage in people who eat breakfast compared to those who do not eat breakfast (Gibson, 2003). Eating breakfast regularly maintains the Body Mass Index to the range of normal. Reports show that people who habitually eat breakfast have lesser chances of being overweight. Breakfast consumption also has benefits in other lifestyle factor. People who skip breakfast learn to be less active and develops weak cardio respiratory level (Sandercock et al., 2010).
