“Man, we kicked the crap out of those guys.” Theo announced
“Yeah, just look at the scoreboard.” Eric agreed
Earlier, that Thursday before Friday’s game against the rival Carolville Hawks, the Tri-county Titans were sitting in their high school waiting to be dismissed by the bell so that they could go to a low-tempoed walk-through practice. The whole team and some of their classmates were all jammed inside of a small, four walled white room with only one window, their last teacher for the day, Mrs. Carey, a math teacher who was a middle aged woman with short greyish hair who had strict rules, but was fairly nice if you weren’t being a goof during her class, asserted “Now even though the boys have a game tomorrow there will still be still

You have one last shot to make a name for yourselves and put yourself in the record books. Don’t do this for anyone else but yourself, not for me, not for your girlfriends, but for you. This is all you. You should start to feel something in your stomach, some butterflies, use them and make something of yourselves. You have forty-eight minutes left of life on your home field; leave it all out there on the field. Boys, if we leave it all out there, we will be victorious. Theo stands up and screams “Let’s go kick some ass!”
The Titans run out of the locker room to the field. In unison, they burst through the paper banner, out onto the field jumping up and down. They all seem to be passionate and their nerves fade away. As both teams begin to stretch, the referee’s ask both teams for their captains to meet in the middle of the field. Theo and Eric jog to the Titans side line then walk, holding hand, to the middle of the field. Both teams look very official as if they are going into war, blue vs. green it seems. The two captains for Carolville were both short and stocky, yet they had an angry look on their face, etched in stone.
The short chunky main referee went over the rules “Now, I want to see nothing but sportsmanship, help a player up when they’re down, don’t just walk by. No cheap shots, or trash talking

This inspired the Titans and gave them a reason to win. The second half was completely different everyone was fired and took the opening kickoff ninety yards to the end zone and put up the first points of the game. The rest of the game was perfect, the defense shut down the Hawks offense and the offense really started to roll. The final score was twenty seven to three. The Titans felt so alive and were so excited that they won. They seemed as though they figured life out and everything clicked. They had one more week of practice and playoff game to live for. As for the Hawks, their season was done

Most schools only provide white milk, water, and natural fruit juice. I think schools should provide more options for students. Schools shouldn’t only provide nutritious drinks because some children enjoy having more options, students with low blood sugar need something sweet in their diet such as coke, and students might want to take something to class that isn’t in a carton so they can just twist the lid and drink. Although students are provided with the necessary drinks, some students want more of a variety.…
