Should Books Be Banned Some books should be banned, but other books should not be banned. Parents and libraries think that certain books should be banned due to offensive language and sexual content. People think that schools and libraries no longer share the the cultural values of the vast majority of parents, Books should be banned because parents and schools have the right to do so. The novel Fahrenheit 451 should be banned in schools because of inappropriate language.
