Why Blocking Phones Do Not Work

Blocking phones may not work, but simply taking the phone away the phone is another solution to the problem that does not work. Many people get their phones taken away. I think many of can say we have. I personally have not so I cannot say what it is like, but I do know a friend of mine that gets theirs taken away often. It seems like she never has a phone because she is always in trouble. She may feel like a lost puppy without it, but in reality she is not actually going without it. What I mean by that is when her phone gets taken away, she tends to take others phones. I refuse to give her my phone and I do not know why others give in and give her theirs. I do not give her mine for a reason, obviously she does not have it for a reason so why let her use another phone. Is …show more content…
Secondly, she was extremely disappointed in what the messages were about. Guess what happens next? She did not learn her lesson so she is back to being grounded for even longer, but obviously it did her no good the first time around. I am not saying it will nott work but there are several people that go right around it, just like my friend did. Not only does this happen with parents and their children, but with students and teachers.People in today's society are to attached, which is why we have problems with distracted driving. According to an article about texting, “Cell phone usage in general has been cited as the number one cause of distracted driving” ( Keeline 1). Has a friend or family member picked up the phone while driving? In 2012 a family lost their young daughter from distracted driving. Her story is, “One notable texting-while-driving case in 2012 involved a teenager who fatally crashed after sending a text message every ninety seconds during her four-hour commute”. (Keeline 1).
