Why Authors Need To Change Their Names

Why do authors think they need to change their names for their books? I think that author’s shouldn’t need to change their names to publish a book. You should be true to yourself and to everybody else. Authors shouldn’t be judged on what gender they are it matters on if the book they wrote is good to be published. Many authors have had pen names for the books that they have written but there is a purpose on why they did that. Some reason why authors have pen names is because they had limited publishing, gender, and not wanting to be noticed around people. People should change their name to a pen name but if it is a good reason not by a bad reason. There are many reasons why people change their real names and turn it into a pen name for the book.

Stephen King used the pen name Richard Bachman so he could produce twice as much as work. Stephen king embraced his own success in his writing career. Some people use this reason to have more published books.
