Why Athletes Should Be Paid

There are many hard working people in the world that make less than eighty-thousand dollars a year. Yet, an artist who releases an album for the first time in their life makes millions. I guess it is safe to say I disagree with the fact that someone that is a professional athlete that sits on the bench makes more than a woman who has been working for 30+ years. It is really not fair when you think about it in detail. Especially, when there are wonderful, hardworking people who make below minimum wage. Most athletes from small town schools do not get scouted often. Mainly because their school is very poor and not exactly ideal. Famous athletes today all went to a big school with a lot of opportunities. No matter how good you are, as long as you attend a small town school good luck with getting scouted. You normally hear about a famous athlete or an artist. I think it should be someone that actually works hard for their money, and that they look up to. If not, they may think that it is realistic to make more than one million dollars a year. Most athletes and entertainers tend to let fame get to their head. It is okay to dream about becoming famous or playing professionally, but long story short, it’s very unlikely. There are a lot of great people in this world who work overtime or even two jobs just to have the necessities to live. Unlike, famous artists and athletes who can have whatever they want at a snap of their fingers. I think it’s okay to spend your money on the things you want, but what if you did not earn it? You could release your first single and make big money, but if you work your butt off for half of your life and still live in discomfort then something is wrong.
