When I pray to God for the well-being of my family, and that God will bless me with the ability to work hard in everything I do, God won’t shut me out because my intentions aren't in the Bible, he’ll bless me with the keys to achieve my goals. A predominant set of core beliefs are based in the Nicene Creed, which states a major chunk of what we believe. The Creed starts off stating we (Catholics) belief in one god, our father almighty. He created heaven, and everything on the planet we live in. We also believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, who was born to our Virgin Mary. He was sent to Earth to try and repair our failing world, through the power of prayer. Even as the Son of God, he was struck with pain and suffering at the hand of non believers, such as Pontius Pilate, who had him crucified and put to death. On the third day, we believe he resurrected from the dead, and met up with his disciples. After forty days of preaching God’s word to everyone, he ascended up to Heaven, and was seated at the right hand of his Father (God).
