April 18, 2016 Dear Editor, There are many reasons why vaccines are very important. Vaccines cause your body to release disease fighting antibodies without actually causing the disease. You can be vaccinated for over 20 diseases. There are 3 reasons why it is important for a person to be properly vaccinated. One reason is, you are not only protecting yourself but the people around you. Another reason is, it can protect you from some diseases. Finally, vaccines are important because they can prevent amputations and also hearing loss.
