One of the most important medical interventions to date are vaccinations. Without them, it is hard to tell what diseases would still be running rampant. Although some of these diseases have been eradicated, it is still crucial to get the recommended vaccines. When people decide not to do this, they not only put themselves at risk, they put others at risk too. To help children get their vaccinations, programs have been set up to cover the sometimes expensive cost. Scientist studies have shown that the rate of outbreaks has dropped tremendously, and that should be a good enough reason to get updated on shots, but some don’t agree.
