1 When I was in the second grade I was introduced to the library as a whole. Before then I never moved out of the children’s section, but I had decided to explore. I was walking along the science books when a vibrant yellow spine caught my eye. I was puzzled and curious so I picked it from the shelf. I looked over its vivid cover. It was a metallic silver hand holding a chess piece. The title stated in large words Robots by the Editors of YES Mag. Anxiously waiting to see what this piece of literature had in store, I ripped it open. In literally half a second I was sucked in. The book how and why robots are made. This book was able to take such a complex subject and idea and make it user friendly for all ages. This is the start of my dream

As a robotics engineer you need to be able to see the features of an object a few feet away. This skill is useful because you may be trying to work on a robot that needs to reach or handle a problem that is out of reach or not able to touch it. You need to be able to grasp and build small objects. You need to be able to hear the difference in sounds because sometimes you need to hear the certain noises a robot will make or if something is wrong. You need to see the difference in colors because you can program robots to follow certain color patterns or it may be programed to change a script when it senses a color (Robotics Engineer). This career is not necessarily do what your told twenty four seven. A lot of times you need to improvise to solve a problem. You can’t really improvise if you don’t know how to work the job in the first place. This set of skills is required for all Robotics engineers everywhere. You need to be able to communicate, problem solve and reason, manage (time, money, ect.), be able to work with others, and you need to be able to perceive ideas (Robotics Engineer). You need to “Notice when something is wrong or likely to go wrong” (Robotics Engineering, Career One Stop). However the most important skill in this career is having the ability to solve complex math and science problems. Without these skills you are practically useless in the robotics
