Pigs Many people have eaten meat before, and so have I, but many people have no idea where it is coming from and how they are treated before they are killed. Many humans are careless and have no feelings towards the pigs. Pigs are animals, and they have feelings just like humans. Sometimes people are stubborn and do not care about how the animals are killed they just care about getting money. My family and I pay extra money for pork that has been handled with care, the humane way. Some pigs just are piled up and killed. In this essay, I hope to change our thinkings on pork and help you understand how and why pigs are killed like this everyday.

Peta.org states,“When allowed to live out their natural lives, pigs live for an average of 10-15 years, but factory farmed pigs are sent to slaughter after just six months of life.” This shows that these animals do not live the life that they should live. If they were in an open air farm they would have a longer life and a happier life, before people kill them for food. These animals are filled with fear and see their family and friends die right in front of them. They are scared and live a life in fear. They live life just to be eaten at the end of it. You have the ability to live, but you are depressed, miserable and you cant have any happiness. Pigs are just like your pets. They are just as playful. Pigs have not done anything to humans and we think its ok to just kill them off and eat the for our apetite. Pigs are intellagent animals. They are intellagent enough to know that they are going to be killed. Even though chickens are considered a “dumb” animal, they are smart enough to know that this isn’t right. Peta.org claims, “Birds exploited for their eggs, called ‘laying hens’ by the industry, are crammed together inside wire cages where they don’t even have enough room to spread their wings.” They only use the chickens for their eggs.
