Why Are Men More Violent Than Women

Violence in this world has been a topic that has been researched from every angle, taking in count the different variables around it. Every research made can end with different conclusions, depending on how specific the research is. Also, taking in mind that violence is a very broad topic and it all changes depending om what part of the world is being studied at. This specific research is on males, and how they are more violent than women. Some of the reasons why men are more violent than women that a few researchers have found are; biological, historical, and nature risk takers. The first research by Natalie Angier supports the idea that men are more violent due to biology and how they are made to be. Historical reasons, meaning old believes, and expectations that were set decades ago towards men and women. Philosopher Jesse Prinz in, “Why Are Men So Violent?” shares “This historical story can help to explain why men are more violent than women. The men who hold power will fight to keep it, and men who find themselves without economic resources feel entitled to acquire things by force if they see no other way.” He explains how the expectations that the world has gave to men is historical, the pressure they feel when they can’t do what ‘there supposed to’ creates anger with themselves and enforces it in others around them as well. Decades ago it has been stated that men are the providers, the hard workers, therefore they had the power, and strength compared to a woman.
