why are humans so obsessed with excess? If we want something, something that we love, say a family member or even a burger, what compels us to want more than we need of it? For one, we may have an underlying fear of losing it, so we turn to the only solution we can think of, take as much as we possibly can since it could go away, or run out, or someone could take it from us. Perhaps, we become greedy because we are not quite satisfied with what we are getting, so we adopt the belief that more is better, five burgers will be more satisfying than one, when in fact it isn't a burger that we really want.
