The other side might also say that they never actually wanted to kill but they are still dangerous. The Child Soldier on Trial at Guantanamo article reads later in the article, “Omar Khadr ‘highly dangerous.’ But the basis for his conclusion was far scarier than any threat of recidivism”(Prasow 3/5). One controversial issue over the past couple of years has been the topic of child soldiers. On one side, people argue that child soldiers should be prosecuted. On the other hand, others contend that they should be given amnesty. My own view is that child soldiers should be given forgiveness for what they have done because they were forced into killing, they were manipulated, and they only had one choice once they entered the army: Kill or be killed. In the article of child soldiers prosecution it states, “ children are often forced into fighting and having little choice over whether they enlist.” This means that children have no choice about being in the military. In the article it states, “ The recruiters of child soldiers also use drugs and alcohol to make children more compliant and enable them to commit crimes they wouldn’t not ordinarily commit.” This means that I guess children take drugs and alcohol to commit crimes that you probably wouldn’t expect them…
