Why Animals Are Involved In Dog Fights

How would you feel if you were in a fight with a person to the death? Not very good now would it, imagine how the dogs they put in that situation feel. How scary it must be not having love and being neglected most of the time and starved just for people’s amusements. And who puts them there the owners who are in the dog fights for the money. Animals who are involved in fighting should be taken away from their owners who put them in dog fights. When dogs are involved in dog fights they get more aggressive, they can get infections, and if they are taken out they can get treatment and a loving family.
One important reason that animals involved in fighting should be taken away from their owners is because they become more aggressive to people because the previous owners treated them poorly and stressed them out. According to the american society for the prevention of cruelty to animals “Many people who participate in these fights lack even a semblance of respect for the animals, often starving and beating them to encourage aggressive behaviors”. What ASPCA is saying here is that the animals that belong to the trainers/owners are neglected and abused by them and so the dogs lose their trust and respect for humans. In an article in Peta I read that Michael Vick a former quarterback was convicted because he was involved in dog fighting. They said “when they were not using the dogs to fight they keeped peened and chained to buride car axles”. This gives proof from a previous owner that had experience with dog fighting of where the dogs sleep or stay when their not in use.
