Learning how to speak Spanish online is a great way to start learning the basics of the Spanish language, without having to commit time, money and energy to regular Spanish classes. There are plenty of benefits to learning the language in this way, but how do you know which of the numerous different online Spanish courses to go for?

Firstly, you should ask yourself a couple of questions:

Why am I learning Spanish?

This is important because some Spanish courses are more suited to conversational Spanish, which will be useful if you're learning Spanish for a trip you're planning to take, or to be able to talk to Spanish speakers wherever you are. Other courses, however, are more academic, and will be useful for those wanting an online Spanish
