Why Am I Going Back To College

Why am I going back to college now? Is now the right time to go back? How is this going to affect my family, employment and other responsibilities? Can I really do this? Should I do this? I reflect, contemplate, and examine these questions and many more every day. I speak in present tense because as I am writing this essay for the Empire State College application, I am debating with my inner self-analysis. Is this the most reasonable time for me to pursue my college degree?

Time seems the perfect gatekeeper of all our aspirations, dreams, hopes and plans. It is also the foolproof sentinel for offering the excuses, reasons and decisions which governs and directs the choices we make. The time challenges and demands of family responsibilities,
