Why Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Many of us have heard that actions speak louder speak louder than words. Maya Angelou believes that this saying is true based off of the following quotation,"I've learned that people will forget what you said,...did,...but people will never forget how you made them feel." it is not until you undergo a situation that in your life that makes you realize the truth. as an individual, I have experienced many situations where looking back now, of course, people's actions didn't coincide with what they would say. many of my friends would really like to say a certain thing to random people, especially boys. because of the immature mindset my dear friends had, they were always getting into arguments with their significant others. why does she say that I don't care about her? I always tell her I love her etc. etc. they would ask me quite often. my response to them was "you can't just tell someone something and show them another". obviously, they were confused and didn't seem to grasp what I was trying to get across. you cannot go around telling people things if you don't put your words into action. if you love someone you don't just say it, you have to do things to show …show more content…
in such arguments, me and my mom especially would exchange some very pounding words. here's the thing, did we mean a single word we exchanged? of course not, it was simply a reaction that happened in the spur of the moment. I would say some mean things such as saying I hated her, god forgive me for such ruthless acts. my actions did not show a single ray of hate towards my mom. if I had hated her I would have run away or destroyed her most treasured possessions or done some ruination in some sort.
