Annually, 46 million babies die from abortion worldwide. That’s approximately one baby being aborted every two seconds (Bound4Life, 2009) . Despite how inhumane, abortion has somehow become the newest, accepted version of contraception. It is more than obvious that murder is on the top of the list when it comes to nefarious crimes. With that being said, how is it that the act of aborting live, developing infants is not considered a crime in all states? All lives matter! There are multiple reasons as to why abortions should be deemed heinous and illegal. There are two procedures; surgical and chemical. Neither one of these gruesome methods have been proven to be painless, in fact, it has been proven that the fetus feels everything that its premature body endures. The three top surgical methods are dilation and cutterage, saline, and dilation and evacuation. Dilation and cutterage occurs within the first 12 weeks of conception. During this procedure the abortionist uses a loop-shaped knife to scrape, dismember and pull the infant from the mother’s womb. The saline procedure is conducted 15 weeks after pregnancy. The saline solution is a strong, salt solution that is inserted into the uterus after removal of amniotic fluid, and absorbed by the fetus. During this process, the fetus inhales the solution causing it to suffocate, along with being completely burned. Dilation and evacuation seems to be the worse of them all.
