Why Abortion Is Not Murder

Why is abortions opposed by some people? Abortions is opposed by some because some think that abortions is murder, fetus feels pain while the procedure is being done and for, and abortions is killing of a human being which defies the word of god. These reasons are examples of how some people feel about abortions and why they shouldn’t exist .

Abortions is a murder because it says “The killing of a human being is wrong, even if the baby is unborn” (Procon.org). This is an opinion of an american citizen who feels that abortions are wrong and that you are committing a murder. It also shows that people shouldn’t support the killing of an innocent baby. Another opinion of an american is that “Anybody intentionally killing or attempting to kill an unborn child should be punished” (Procon.org). People feel like if you get an abortions you should go to jail for murder, even though the baby is unborn. This is another opinion on abortions and why they are wrong.

Dr.Phil said “If the the fetus is beyond 20 weeks gestation i would assume that there would be pain caused to the fetus.” This is one reason why most people don’t like abortions because it causes pain to the fetus. Also because the mother’s don’t care about the babies pain, they only care about getting the baby out of them. This shows why more and more people don’t agree with abortions and why it’s an issue now. Another reason why people don’t like abortions is because most say “Pain is detected by the fetus in the first trimester” (Procon.org). They can feel all the pain somebody is doing to them no matter if it’s getting rid of them or just treating them wrong while they are growing. This really shows how babies feel all the pain people do to

There are multiple types of abortions, depending on how far the woman is into the pregnancy such as trimester one, trimester two, or trimester three. The woman has the option to have a medical or surgical abortion performed. To numerous people, abortion is considered a basic right for all women because it gives them control of their bodies and future.…

Dr. Paul Ranalli, neurologist, University of Toronto states that “at 20 weeks, the fetal brain has the full complement of brain cells present in adulthood, ready and waiting to receive pain signals from the body, and their electrical activity can be recorded by standard electroencephalography (EEG)” meaning pain can be experienced quite early by unborn babies, making fetal pain a harsh fact. Surgeons entering the womb to perform corrective procedures on tiny unborn babies have seen those babies flinch, jerk and recoil from sharp objects and incisions. In 2004, Dr. Kanwalijeet Anand testified the following before Congress: “Mechanisms that inhibit or moderate the experience of pain do not begin to develop until 32 to 34 weeks post-fertilization,”…

Pro Choice vs. Pro Life There are many reasons on both sides of this issue of why people believe it is or is not okay to have an abortion. Many believe that it is a woman’s right to choose to end her pregnancy or not. The U.S. Supreme Court has declared that it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Many would also believe that in choosing to end her pregnancy, she is committing murder, and that although the child is unborn, it is still a living being with the same right to live as its mother. Pro Choice gives women the right to decide if having a child is right for her, and that choice does not end the moment she becomes pregnant.…

Abortion is a highly talked about concept. There are many people that believe that it should be supported and that women have a right over their own body. However, others in society believe that it is an unholy and unjust act to partake in. There is rarely anyone that is in the middle or on the fence about this argument. Abortion “From Roe v. Wade through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions were performed in the United States – an average of about 1.4 million abortions per year. At 2008 abortion rates, three in ten US women will have an abortion before age 45” (“Should Abortion” 7). Abortion is murder. For anyone to think that the beginning of life starts any time after the fusing of the woman’s egg and a male’s sperm is completely irrational. Even if life begins as a small cell, it still starts, nevertheless.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

Life is something that is valued by most people, with life flourishing at the moment of conception, because a life is a life whether outside of the womb or not. According to the Victoria state government, by the time a fetus is eight weeks old they develop the start of a central nervous system, which contains nerves that can sense and feel, with the fetus also having a stable and developing heartbeat. So not only does the child have a heartbeat and brain activity forming and broadening as days pass, but they are also capable of feeling pain. In our society it's not acceptable to kill any other class except major criminals (K, Brown), but every year millions of innocent lives are diminished. Some individuals even go as far as stating abortions are a form of child abuse because the baby endures pain and suffering on the account of others.…

“Murder for the sake of convenience,” that is what abortion is. American citizens in this country are demanding that women have the right for “healthcare.” This “healthcare” we are fighting for is abortion, literally translated, the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. It is horrendous that we are screaming for women to have the right to murder their children! One reason people use to justify their action is that the fetus is just a blob of tissue that is not a human until a certain point in their pregnancy.…

Abortion has been around for quit sometime now, and its support is only getting stronger. Advocates of abortion emphasize one’s ability to have the choice of whether that person wants to keep the baby or not. They believe that the person that was conceived is technically not a human being yet, and is a person once the mother has given birth to the child. Because they believe that the person they are aborting is not a human, it is then okay to end its life. They make arguments such as having the option of abortion will help victims of rape, incest, or if the person is just not ready to have a child.…
