As she lay in bed from an exhausting, emotional roller coaster of a day, thoughts race through her head. What am I going to do? How do I tell him or do I even tell him? I really don’t even know this guy. How could I be so careless? Will I even be able to take care of this baby? I can just get an abortion and this would all be over! In our world today abortion has become a widely abused solution to our “problems." Abortion is one of the most frequent procedures performed in America, but did you know that less than 1% of those abortion are performed because of rape or incest? The most common reason that women decide to have an abortion is because they say it’s not the right time (Loxafomosity Ministries, Inc., 2005-2016). Many argue that abortion should be legal because it is a woman’s body and it’s her right to decide what happens inside of it while others feel that it is acceptable because of unwanted causes such as rape or incest. Women should choose pro-life because abortion is taking the life of a defenseless human being, the procedures are repulsive and the child is already a …show more content…
Deciding to bring a new life into the world can be scary and it carries huge responsibilities; in spite of that it is beyond my understanding how a mother to be could choose anything but life. When you educate yourself on the miracle that is going on inside of women and consider that the child is already its own person in addition to the appalling nature of the procedures, you have to ask yourself, would an abortion be the right thing to do? Lastly, I encourage anyone considering an abortion to look at the pictures that are widely available on the web. More often than not, abortion is the result of pregnancy due to rape, or the inability to support a child for any variety of reasons. Although many see it as the termination of a life, abortion needs to be an option to save the lives of women who are not able to support a child. Abortion is one of the most explosive issues of the last two decades, lighting a fire in debates in political, social, medical, and theological fields. Here in the United States, pro-lifers march for the rights of the unborn. The pro-choice stands on the grounds of freedom and a woman’s rights to decide. I have chosen the topic of Abortion, I believe this is one of the most polarizing subjects in the country. It’s a fight of ideas, legalities, morels, and government all mashed into what some say is a right to choose, and others say it is murder. The Pro-choice advocates have many of the arguments in favor of abortion, but I will just pick seven of them. 1. Laws against abortion don’t stop them just relegates them to the back rooms of illegal abortion operations.…

The practice of abortion has existed long before the modern era, even as long ago as 1550 BC. Many methods used in the early cultures included physical activities such as strenuous labor, weightlifting, or diving, and similar to ancient Greece and Rome, abortion was existent in America. There has always been controversy when it came to legalizing abortions; religious groups protested against it, stating that it is murder while others stood up for women’s rights of choice. However, when the Supreme court legalized abortions in the case of Roe v. Wade in 1973, the result was easier access to abortions, the incessant number of them, and many people abusing this right. To this day, countless lives are constantly lost through abortion, and as a…

Although considered murder by many, abortion is simply the medical procedure of extracting unwanted genetic material from a woman’s womb. However, abortion is not a decision to be taken lightly and only the woman carrying the child is the one that knows what’s best for her. An unwanted pregnancy is very common and luckily, there is a wide range of options available for women that find themselves in that predicament. According to Planned Parenthood, “millions of people face unplanned pregnancies every year, and about 4 out of 10 of them decide to get an abortion. [Additionally], some people with planned pregnancies also get abortions because of health or safety reasons”(Planned Parenthood).…

Women have been oppressed continuously; since before the early 1800’s, they did not have the right to an education, own property or be a political figure. Women’s rights are also being impugned to this very day. They face the pro life people (who are mostly religious) who want to force them to not abort, but what these insular people fail to revise is that women have the right of freely choosing if they want to have a kid or not. Not all people are religious, so we can’t base a nationwide law on religious beliefs, because it would be violating their first amendment( which is in part, freedom of religion). If you put the pro life(abortion should be abolished) idea in context, you would realize that it would not really help the conflict,…

Abortion is a huge problem that has caused a wide range of controversy all over the United States. There are two sides to the problem, which are people who oppose abortion or support it. Abortion becomes a big deal when trying to decide whether a fetus should be considered a human being already when a woman aborts. In my case I believe that a woman should not be able to abort a child inside her unless there is some type of serious medical issue where the child may not come out alive. When a woman aborts a child, they did not want, it is like the killing of another human being who had no say or ever did anything wrong to deserve it.…

The definition of an abortion is the process of ending a woman’s pregnancy by the termination of an embryo or fetus inside the mother’s womb (Pros and Cons Abortion). During the process of an abortion, the unborn child is not treated as a human being. The baby is treated as a nuisance; it is not given the proper care, it is regarded as a nonliving thing (Abortion Facts). Abortion is not the only method to take when a mother is confused by her feelings about the pregnancy for how her pregnancy came about (Arguments about Abortion). There is no reason to punish a child when they have no control of what is going on in the world around them.…

Abortion is one of the most controversial issues in the United States today. If you look up the word abortion in the dictionary it is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks.” There are two opinions that differ greatly. The definition of pro-choice is “ favoring the legalization of abortion” (Merriam-Webster) whereas the definition of pro-life is “advocating the legal protection of human embryos and fetuses, especially by favoring the outlawing of abortion on the ground that is the taking of a human life.” Both sides have argued their sides since the U.S. Supreme Court Ruled in 1973 in Roe V. Wade.…
