Why 8th Grade Is Important

Eighth grade is definitely an amazing year; it is your last year in middle school and you have so much ahead of you in highschool! You will have fun with your classmates and teachers, but there also are some bumps in the road to get over first. Here are some helpful pieces of advice just to stay on top of everything, so you enjoy your year! Something I find essential in eighth grade is to stay organized! Organization is major this year. This keeps you in order; having everything where it should be. Otherwise, you may lose your work. Another big part that comes with being organized is that it keeps you far away from stress. I personally like to be organized mostly for this reason. If my things are not all in order, I stress out. Most importantly, teachers love organization. Turning in a perfectly organized binder is something they are very happy with, and will get you a good grade! So, if you are looking into being more organized, here are some tips; try keeping all your papers where they should be, and always be on top of things by not just shoving your papers in a messy …show more content…
There are consequences if you turn in your homework late, or not at all. For example, when turning in a late assignment, your teacher may take ten points off when it is graded, but that is if you are lucky. Sometimes, late assignments are not graded at all! Depending on what the assignment is, your teacher may just give you a zero percent, which will definitely affect your grade. Of course, there are times where you may have forgotten about a worksheet due, and that happens to all of us. Something helpful is to have your homework written down, so it is easier to remember. Also, try not to get distracted while doing your work, because that can lead to limited time, leaving you not enough time to finish your work.
