The central conflict of the play revolves around Martha and George (Played by Camille Barigar and Garth Blackburn) and their struggle through their marriage. Because of their almost identical personalities, Martha and George go through constant fighting and disagreeing about almost every topic discussed. As the play goes on, it becomes clear that George has been having an internal struggle dealing with him hiding the secret of their son 's death from Martha. An element that fuels the plot is the other two characters in the play, Nick and Honey (Played by Patrick Rexroat and Ashley White), Who are invited over to Martha and George 's house for a get together and some drinks. To make George jealous, Martha immediately launches herself at Nick, sucking up to him and constantly comparing him to George. The events of the play transpire humorously, whether it 's through Honey constantly being sick, of George 's and Martha 's crude language.

Being that there were only four characters in the play (Such as in Glass Menagerie), Each character had a significant amount of lines that needed to be memorised. Unlike Glass Menagerie, however, it was clear to tell that the characters had their lines memorised cleanly and had time after memorization to characterise better. The actors had put work into the production and with everything combined (The accents, characterization, memorization, etc.), It was hard to differentiate between the actors and the characters
