To prepare the whoopie pies you would need to preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and put some baking sheets on the pan you are cooking it on. I suggest you use a cookie pan for the pies. Find a medium size bowl and combine you flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt then set aside. In a large mixing bowl beat the butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Then beat the brown sugar with it until light and fluffy. Add the flour mixture to the large bowl and stir in food coloring with it.
Spoon out the batter onto the pan with an inch of space between each round. The round must be 1 or 2 inches for each round. Bake the pies for 9 to 11 minutes then let the pies cool down. While the pies are baking and cooling start making the filling. In a medium
