WholeFit’s goal is to provide members and clients with the tools, services, and education needed to achieve their fitness goals and lifestyles. Jon Celestino, the owner of Wholefit, hopes to help others be comfortable in their own skin.

From a young age, Jon has had a passion for fitness. At university, he learned that his knowledge of biochemistry and the human anatomy could be used to better improve his workout routines: “I started working out, started to understand my body and how working with nutrition and fitness could help me be a better athlete as well”. He found that exercise not only helped him in athletics but in every aspect of his life.

As an employee, he assisted with teaching classes, personal training, and took on several management roles. Deciding that he would like to do something bigger, John bought WholeFit in January 2018. WholeFit now has 4 employees who assist in delivering fitness services to the Lucan community.
Why is WholeFit’s health perspective integral to its success?
In Jon’s words, “We are a gym, and we are focused on getting better physically, but you need a framework. By framework, I mean confidence in yourself and your ability, self-worth and mental health. I would say that that mental perspective is the foundation for how I apply the physical training”.
Jon explains that this holistic perspective can be seen in every aspect of Whole Fit’s operation, and is used to promote the physical, mental and emotional health of all gym members. He adds that although this health perspective is fundamental, his trainers are really what is integral to WholeFit’s success.
