Throughout this essay, I will be deliberating why whole voice process from September 2015 until April 2016, the purpose is to improve and work on my weaknesses and expand my strengths. By the end of this year, my goal is to know how to use my voice correctly, be more confident and improve my accent.
At the beginning of the year, we’ve started working on our breath which is the most important part of your body to begin your warm up. “I certainly believe that good breathing is the key to a good voice” (Berry, 1995a, pg. 34). First of all, we’ve learned how to breathe correctly, down to the diaphragm so you can find your voice as the breath comes in and the sound comes out. One of the exercises is the 3 kind of part breaths which you are laying on the floor, using the lower belly, abdomen and then the upper chest to inhale and exhale. Most of the exercises are based on using and pushing the diaphragm to project our voices, for instance, breathing in on your diaphragm and hum on an “M” sound, angel exercise, lying down, start breathing in for 10 sec – 16 – 20, and then release, this is one of my favorite exercises because it helps you concentrate and focus only on your

Another good reason why to start with breathing is because it helps you relax prevents you from thinking of daily things and you get rid of your tension. Also, I’ve noticed that when I was in a relaxed mood my breathing was really easy whereas when I had to perform a piece in the class and I was nervous, my breathing immediately changed into a really fast rhythm. Therefore, I am doing some relaxing breathing exercises, breathing up slowly using the diaphragm till the count of 10(inhaling – exhaling) and some yoga workouts as well. “Breath is really the all – important factor – how open you are to it and how you use it” (Berry, 1995b, pg.

Hi Nadja, I think today it's hard to imagine a time when the Executive Branch was second in command to Congress, but based on what we learned in the last section, that seems to be what the framers had intended. Remember how it was still fresh in their minds that they had emerged from under a monarchy and they intended to never experience that again? Also, that many delegates refused to attend the Constitutional Convention? That was because they had no desire for a centralized government, and as representatives of their state they knew that was not what the people wanted either. Most colonists at the time were perfectly content with the idea of state sovereignty.…

Larry, I agree with your choice of Lysistrata’s speech to the Magistrate because of her ability to compare housework as not being much different than ending the war. She has a simple plan to fix what is wrong with the city and relates it in a way that shows that the cleansing that the woman do at home is not much different than what would be needed to fix the city’s problems. I would like to point to a different speech that I found to be very convincing as well. Her speech right at the beginning to convince the women to join her cause to stop the war. She starts off by reminding the women of how much they miss their husbands motivating them to do whatever is necessary, “And I would climb the highest Spartan mountain: from there I see where…

Reflection on SCOTUS Speeches As I listened, I noticed the importance of clear representation of both plaintiff and defendant views and arguments to the audience’s understanding of the case. Failing to provide accurate distinctions between arguments, beliefs, and perspectives can leave the audience confused on the nature of a case. I also recognized how essential it is to reference the situational variables as well. If important details, as such, were to be left out of a speech, the case has the potential to be portrayed inaccurately.…
