With more than 4.7 million followers, Whole Foods has found the most efficient ways to promote its brand loyalty, using only140-characters each time. If you are not familiar with Whole Foods Market, it is the world’s leader in natural and organic foods, with 427 stores in North America and the United Kingdom .
The healthy-conscious grocery store uses specific Twitter strategies to create an atmosphere where their customers are included in the conversation and are encouraged to share their opinions on products they liked and disliked as well as their experiences after shopping at the store. Whole Foods does this so customers do not feel ignored and so any problem doesn’t go unresolved. On average, Whole Foods responds back to customers every hour with more than 100 tweets throughout the day. They also tend to adapt their brand voice based on who they are replying to, and will even make jokes to bond with the consumer. Overall, it’s an excellent way of making personal connections with the brand, and is one of the main reasons why Whole Foods has a much larger following that most of its competitors.
Whole Foods customers aren’t your typical grocery shoppers, in fact they are quite the opposite. These customers pay higher prices for better quality food products. This audience is focused on buying food with only organic and all-natural labels on it because they are extremely health conscious about what they put in their mouth.
