Justification: After Multicultural Day at our school, children expressed interest in learning about other cultures. They have noticed many other cultures moving into their neighborhood and would like to learn more about them.

After reading the book, ask students to share their thoughts and ideas about what makes us all different and what makes us the same. Jot down students' responses on a piece of chart paper.
