My full name is Helen Su. That’s it. No middle name. Only 7 letters. The reason is probably cause my parents were to lazy to make it sound pleasant, perhaps that’s the reason why im extremely lazy. On typical weekends, I would sleep until 3 pm. That’s when my mom gets off work. However, that’s only on weekends, on schools days I am on time, rarely earlier. I would only be on time because I want to do well in school and become successful when I get older. I have to write down this before I start shaving or else I would forget that when I was growing up i was surprisingly hairy. My sisters were hairless and so is my mom. I don’t know I became hairy. My first reason for choosing my stranger was that I see her more often than the others in class, so it would be easier. However, the more I started to learn her, the more I became genuinely intrigued about the type of person she is. My first observation is her clothing: simple and comfortable. She doesn’t seem to be the type of person who wants to draw attention to herself. One thing she does however, is express her being on the Anoka Dance Team.…

I'd like to think that everyone is like me... but they are not. Everyone is apathetic or sympathetic towards others unless they are close to someone. Vivian Mosota CIS Sociology Being Me Influenced Myself Even though my service learning was required, I was able to gain valuable information from the eighteen hours that I volunteered. Having been able to volunteer at Sky Oaks Elementary was not only a great experience but also gave me a greater understanding of Sociology (the concepts that we learned in class). During my service learning, I put to use most of the information that we learned in class so that I was able to understand the people around me. Having said that, I think that my social location affected my service learning experience at Sky Oaks.…

In 1986 two Social Psychologists (Markus and Nurius) created the part of the social self called “Possible Selves”. Possible Selves is an image of who you could be in the future or who you were in the past. How we see ourselves is triggered by experiences we go through and what others may tell us. If we experience something negative or are told something negative then we will only see a negative self. Same goes with positive experiences; if you experience something positive or if you are told something positive then you will see a positive self.…

Who Am I? The simple answer is a name, Travis; but who is that really? It took me awhile, and a lot of learning to truly feel like I found myself. Looking back, finding myself was the easy part; the hard part is trying not to lose myself again in this big, scary world. I learned trying to follow your own path can have major ups and downs, including stress and a desire to feel wanted by people who you feel are better than you.…
