Who We Are Analysis

How do we find out who we are? Growing up i think you begin to realize what's important in life whether you are a daughter, an athlete, a sibling, or a leader. I am all of these things and more. Having all these titles do not mean a thing if you don't know how to be a proper role model. What's the point of being an athlete, a sibling, a leader, or even a daughter if you have no respect; you have no people skills and you're not a good example to younger children, they are the future.
Growing up your parents teach you the main people skills. They taught me how to be nice, to be respectful, to do things on my own, and to be independent. Those are main behavior skills most people should have. Having siblings makes you want to strive to be the …show more content…
The responsibilities of being a leader are enormous. It almost seems impossible for you to have an outside life from school. It makes you feel like you are not allowed to go out with your friends and have fun because you might mess up and leaders don't mess up. It makes you think that was one bad move you make one mistake you do you are no longer that good leader. I'm here to tell you that none of that is true. As my senior year I was elected student council president and senior class president as well as a tennis captain and a peer mediator, I have a load on my plate. At first I was overwhelmed I didn't have my priorities straight and I was messing up a lot. I made mistakes, I wanted to make everybody happy but I couldn't and I honestly thought I was gonna be the worst president ,captain,and leader in the history. I asked my teachers for help and they told me to be it leader it takes a lot from a person but you can't forget to make yourself happy. Make yourself happy as long as you are not selfish because there is a line. After a couple mistakes and a couple complaints I had my priorities set straight. I appointed people on my counsel to help me out. I realized that it wasn't just me being a leader it wasn't all about me leading. It was about the people around me who were willing to help me lead others. It's that group that stands behind you help you when you fall. As a leader you learn that you're going to fall a lot. That's okay because being a leader you have to show others that it's okay to fall and it's easy to get back up on your feet, you have other people to rely on not just yourself, you can ask for help and you will receive help you can be a strong person and you can have a weak side. You learn you're not a perfect person and you learn so much about yourself becoming a leader and you help others learn a lot about themselves. You are that person that everybody looks up to but you also have to look up to those who look up to
