To begin, Mexican tamales are full of flavor. You can make them with corn or flower wrappings. Individuals can use chicken, cheese, pork beans and cheese, corn or go for a more sweet flavor and use pineapple. Some choose to finish off the product with extra toppings on the tamale. Toppings include sour cream, cheese and hot sauce.…

Moctezuma realized that Cortez was not an Aztec god. For a while the Aztecs continued to live like normal but then the Spanish found the Aztec’s statues and sacrifices and started to destroy them. Moctezuma then offered Cortez gold hoping he would take it and leave the country. He took the gold but Cortez had Moctezuma arrested and then held captive.…
Isamar Jaquez 2/29/16 Period 5 1. The purpose of both these lintels is to be records of the Maya dynasties. Lintels 24 and 25 show a series of rituals performed by Shield Jaguar II and his wife. Lintel 24 depicts a bloodletting ritual performed by the king of Yaxchilán and his wife. This sacrifice mirrored the Maya story of the creation of the human race: gods would bleed out to create them.…
During the rule over the Aztecs their rule expanded across the continent. During this expansion they also began building over the Aztec empire creating the brand new city Mexico City by building directly over the ruins of the Aztecs old empire. Even during the expansion of new spain their production was slowed by resistance from the indigenous people and resistance from the land. But even with these obstacles the spaniards “New Spain” was still the richest and most popular of all the spanish colonies. Spaniards began flooding into Mexico because of the stories of gold riches and lands but as more spaniards came the more people began to start families with the indigenous peoples ending up creating a new culture, with new music, dances, food,…
Coatlicue is the mother of the Aztec creation myth. She is describe as a women having a skirt of snakes and a necklace of human hearts, hands and skulls. The hands, hearts and the skulls on her necklace are from her children. They are put in her chest so that they can be purified in their mother’s chest. The representation of the goddes has a deadly side.…

I strongly disagree that if the Spanish hadn’t conquered the Americas the Aztecs would be the most advanced civilization to date. If the Aztecs were still thriving today I think they would be advanced but not as advanced as the first world countries, they may be as advanced as either the third or second world countries. I also think that the weaponry that the Aztecs had would’ve evolved along time after everyone else evolved their weapons so that would make them vulnerable to attacks from foreigners. The Aztecs were too focused on their religion which would also distract them from improving their way of living. But before they got to the state of being advanced I think that when they conquered the Americas and sacrificed all of their enemies they would start to sacrifice themselves.…
The Spanish and the Aztec were different in beliefs and many other ways. Some of their beliefs were unique or extreme. Their thoughts on each other depended on their beliefs and their worldviews. They were taught differently and taught different things for different situations. Religion had also played a big role in their education.…
The ancient Aztecs lived thousands of years ago in what is now known today as Mexico, before their collapse. In 1519, Hernan Cortes arrived with a fleet of ships after rumour had spread of a city containing great wealth. It was believed that Cortes’ arrival coincided with an ancient Aztec prophecy about a pale skinned and bearded god arriving from the east. Cortes was welcomed by the king of Tenochtitlan, Montezuma. He gave Cortes many gifts, such as precious stones, gold and chocolate.…

The wrapping is discarded before eating. Arroz is just rice. Chivo is goat soup. Lastly pernil is pork shoulder. Now I enjoy Spanish food like Pastelitos and some other chickens from the Niagara cafe, but I think that is so odd some of the dishes.…

They were known for many outstanding breakthroughs, including agriculture and human sacrifice. However, historians should emphasize Aztec agriculture.…
The starting points of the taco are truly obscure. It dates from the eighteenth century and the silver mines in Mexico, in light of the fact that in those mines "taco" alluded to the little charges they would use to exhume the metal. These were bits of paper that they would wrap around black powder and embed into the gaps they cut in the stone face. When you consider it, a chicken taquito with a decent hot sauce is truly a ton like a stick of explosive. The main references [to the taco] in any kind of chronicle or lexicon originate from the end of the nineteenth century.…
