The deaths of Romeo and Juliet in William Shakespeare's play are both tragic and destined to happen. Although their deaths could have been avoided, a series of unfortunate events caused their early deaths to be inevitable. Romeo was the main cause of their deaths, as was Tybalt and Juliet's parents. They all played a major part in the death of the 'star-crossed lovers'
Contrary to popular belief, Paris were not responsible for Romeo and Juliet's death. Romeo should be the main person to receive the blame. With Romeo being rejected by Rosaline he goes to a party and sees Julie. Upon the first look he automatically knew that he 'loved' her. Romeo a 17 year old boy is in love with Juliet. A 13 year old girl that knows absolutely nothing about the concept of love. Juliet was just a replacement for Rosaline. Especially when Romeo saw Rosaline in the company of another man. Tybalt could be considered the person who caused the death of Romeo and Juliet because if he didn't kill Mercutio during their fight,t then Romeo wouldn't have been exiled from Verona, because he killed Tybalt. So if Tybalt didn't start that fight in the middle of the street in Verona killing Mercutio then Romeo wouldn't have been exiled. Which wouldn't have caused Juliet to go to such extreme measures so that she wouldn't have to marry Paris.
The Final person that could be considered to have caused Romeo and Juliet's death is Juliet's parents. In the beginning of the play her parents were very kind and gentle. When they throw the past for Juliet to find a suitable husband. Then when her cousin Tybalt dies they force her into marrying Count Paris that Thursday. All while Juliet was still grieving When Juliet tells her parents that she doesn't want to marry Paris, they treated to disown her. Which when caused her to follow through with her plan she's concocted with Friar
