Who Was Joseph Stalin's Nature Or Nurture?

Joseph Stalin was one of the easiest rankings on my list. To this day, not a single human has as much blood on their hands than Joseph Stalin. He was definitely not someone that you would want to mess with. He was responsible for over twice the deaths than Hitler. I believe that the cause for his unspeakable evils was nurture. Joseph Stalin was born into a very poor family and was constantly teased when he never fully recovered from smallpox. His unfortunate childhood made him angry and gave him a very cruel edge, which later would cause him to kill millions.
Adolf Hitler was also a very easy ranking. Although Adolf Hitler did not kill as many than Joseph Stalin, some of the ways he killed prisoners in his death camps were worse than Stalin. For instance, dying from starvation and labor are incredibly painful ways to die. Adolf Hitler definitely developed his wickedness through nurture. He was born into a family of politicians, but he allegedly developed his hate for Jews after WW1 when he felt betrayed by his government and that Jews took jobs in his country. This anti semitism that he developed after his birth caused him to kill lots of innocent people
Darth Vader was a harder ranking. A ranked him here because even if he did not kill as many people, dying from a lightsaber wound is a very painful way to die. A lightsaber

He was not higher up on my list because Zaroff would shoot people and not torture them, so their deaths would be quick. I believe that nature turned Zaroff into the man he was. In his childhood, he lived with a wealthy family who enjoyed hunting, and only killed small animals. For fun, he started to kill larger game. He killed birds then cats then dogs than leopards then lions then when that became too easy, he killed humans. I think that even if killing was in his blood, nature and the people he was around caused him to become a

The second characteristic that Zaroff can be classified, as is that he is cunning. The first reason is that Zaroff has built his own traps to capture and kill his prey, “Then he felt an impulse to cry aloud with joy, for he heard the sharp crackle of the breaking branches as the cover of the pit gave way; he heard the sharp scream of pain as the pointed steaks found their mark.” (Connell 56) This is what Rainsford was thinking because the Generals best hunting dog had just fallen it to his own trap and died, but Zaroff is impressed with the fact that he made the trap. The second reason that Zaroff can be considered cunning is that he does not miss the trails that his prey took ”Something was coming through the bush, coming slowly, carefully, coming by the same winding way Rainsford had come.”…

Comparing Two Men in History The two people I have chosen to compare are Adolf Hitler and Genghis Khan because they are both people who did bad things that affect many people, and did things that lead to war, and involved killing a bunch of people, both ended up dead or being killed for what they did. Adolf Hitler was born in Austria on April 20, 1889 and then when he was three years old he and his family had moved to Germany, and from 1933-1945 he was the chancellor and was dictator from 1934-1945 (Adolf Hitler Biography, Bio.com). At the outbreak of World War 1 he actually applied for military service in the German army, and even though he wasn’t on the frontlines he did participate in many battles and had got injured in the battle…

Hitler and Caesar were the two most powerful leaders of all time. Caesar and Hitler have many similar characteristics but Caesar was a good leader while Hitler was the exact opposite. In the “The Arrogance and Cruelty of Power,” Robert H. Jackson argued about the trial against the Nazis leaders. The trial ended by showing justice for all the innocent lives that were taken. People state that Hitler and Caesar both have the same amount of ambition and both abused their power, but this statement is false.…

First Zaroff is a Cossack which makes him a savage or uncontrollable. Second off Zaroff believes that the men he is killing are the lowest of the low. They bring him no challenge so he wants to hunt Rainsford for an actual challenge. Zaroff is short minded or only lets his thoughts go for a little bit and then drops them. Since he is short minded it leads him to thinking murdering these people is ok because they are nothing.…

It's people who claim that they're good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of ”(Goodreads). Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were unarguably the two most powerful leaders to ever rule Russia and Germany. The pair spread terror across the Europe as they took power and aimed to consolidate it. Stalin was born in Georgia, which was then part of the Russian empire, and was the son of a cobbler. During his time as a student he began reading Marxist literature and it inspired him to devote his time to the revolutionary movement against the Russian monarchy. He would often get arrested and exiled to Siberia during his time as an activist, however when the Bolsheviks seized power in 1917 he rose through the ranks of the party.…

Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and Benito Mussolini all three were major dictators that made a huge impact in what we know as history today. Their leadership skills and ways of persuading the public were all different , but had some similarities. All three used propaganda and mainly focused on economic policies and the problems that the country faced with the government. Mussolini and Hitler shared more similarities to each other than Stalin shared with the both of them. All three of them were against democracy mainly because democracy gives the people freedom of speech and the ability to overthrow a leader.…

Nevertheless, his pride and lifestyle has made a killer out of him and with it all sense of humanity. The thing that got my attention about General Zaroff is his complex personality and his superficial charm. He appears like a cultivated and legitimate noble man when he welcomes Rainsford with food and "held out his hand to welcome Rainsford", yet when he starts to recount his story you discover how ruthless his personality is. He uses the island to take wrecked travelers into his house to encourage them and give them a place to…
