Superheroes don’t Live Up to their Names What makes a person a hero? Is it Shrek who saves the princess from the dragon? Is it Marlin the clown fish who saves his son form a dentist office in Sydney? Or is it the incredible family who saves the world from a giant robot? According to Dictionary.com a hero is “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.” Do they fit this definition really though? These types of people are in everyday life; they can be teachers, parents, managers, and just random individuals around you. By changing the definition of a hero we can raise the word above the stories and the myths, and to honor those who truly fit the real

Another hero who saves people and cares about others and not just himself is Iron man from the movie Iron Man(2008,2010,2013). Both of these heroes put their life on the line to help others, and they both have to face personal challenges that changes both of their lives tremendously.…

Hero’s are everyday people that have done something for the greater good. A hero is a person who has gone out of their way to help or save something or someone from danger. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines a hero as, a person, typically a man who is admired for having courage or having outstanding achievements (Merriam-Webster). In my opinion this book definition is wrong, because heroes aren’t just men. Heroes can range from being a small town sports team that just won a state championship or soldiers who saved a community from a terrorist group.…

A true hero benefits others before themselves, is dedicated, but they are not always acknowledged for their good deeds. People who benefit others before themselves show that they care more about everyone else’s needs instead of their own. These are the type of people that give others hope and save lives each and every day.
