Who Moved My Cheese Book Report

Who Moved My Cheese? written by Spencer Johnson displays how important it is to be able to manage unexpected change. The book has mice, Scurry and Sniff and two little people, Haw and Hem. These characters lived in a maze. The maze a symbolization for a work environment and the cheese they are after symbolizes success. The little people moved so that their homes were closer to the cheese source. When this came about, it became the center of the little people’s lives. The cheese source slowly becomes more scarce and the little people become distressed when the cheese is gone. The mice accepts that the cheese source is gone and begin to search for cheese somewhere else. The little people that relied on the cheese source that they centered their entire lives around that they felt like someone was stealing from them, but they are still holding on to it even though there is nothing left while the mice moved on. …show more content…
The little people are fearing the future of the unknown. The fear of the unknown kept them without cheese for awhile. One of the little people, Haw, begin the have a new mindset that allowed to him to not fear and enjoy life again. He moves on so he begins to enter the maze. When he did, he carved ”If You Do Not Change, You Can Become Extinct" on the wall of Cheese Station C for Hem. Hem continues to fear the unknown and refuses the new cheese due to his Haw’s disappointment. Haw decides to continue on with hunt for cheese and heads back into the maze. He gives himself hope and motivation through the writings on the wall. He, then, comes path with Cheese Station N. This station had vast amounts of cheese. Haw found what he was looking for and then wanted and hoped Hem to find his own way to the
