Who Killed The Red Baron Essay

A mystery that has lasted almost a century, who killed Manfred Von Richthofen, also known as the dangerous WW1 threat, The Red Baron? With information being pulled up from every angle and the conclusion has finally been drawn. Countless pieces of evidence have been narrowed down to three vital points. The rounds, the range of the shot taken to kill the Red Baron, and the Angle from which he was shot at, all prove that Sergeant Cedric Popkin shot down the German legend. To begin, The rounds from Sergeant Popkin’s gun, line up perfectly with the timing of The Baron's death. Evidence shows that the Red Baron was hit with a fatal shot that would give him 20 seconds of life before he met his death. The bullet path clearly shows that it was a long range shot to the side, because if it was a short range shot, the inside of the wound would have expanded more, due to the close proximity. With a long range shot, the swelling inside of the bullet hole is lesser, but still powerful enough to kill him. The shot has been proven to be shot from 600 feet away, which eliminates anyone shooting within anything closer than that proximity, (Roy Brown and another rumoured shooter, Robert Buie). There was no doubt about the distance the shot was fired at, because of multiple tests that prove. that if the shot was fired any closer or farther away, there would have been a completely different result in the bullets overall impact.
