Piggy was the most ridiculed in the group. The first time Piggy met Ralph, he "shrieked with laughter" at Piggy's name. Ralph was being insensitive and childish in this situation. Piggy was telling him not to call him that. Piggy died with a "glancing blow from chin to knee." This occurred when roger let go of the rock that struck him. I believe that Roger did this on purpose to stir up trouble and to test Jack's authority. "Roger" killed Piggy "with a sense of delirious abandonment." In small ways Roger would stir up trouble just to make it easier to become higher in superiority This time he tried to stir up trouble he took it a bit too far by killing Piggy.
