Who Is Woo Jun's Faith?

Woo Jun Hong was targeted for his spiritual faith in Christ. He and his family

were looked down upon, as if they were less than human. When the Japanese invaded

North Korea, everything changed, Woo Jun and his family were targeted and monitored,

for they did not conform to the religion, laws, or new language that were passed. The

soldiers would constantly come to his home, and take one of the family men. Woo Jun’s

father was taken first, tortured, slaughtered for his religion, but he did not break. Next

was his brother, who was beaten and brainwashed so bad, he became crazy, and was

never the same. Now it’s Woo Jun’s turn. Crammed into a 15x15 cell, thorns jabbed

under his fingernails, thrown into a nail covered tiny box, consistently

of all their troubles.”

Christ delivered him through all of the trails and blessed him tremendously.

Having a good attitude toward yourself, others, and to God, will have you become

blessed by his grace, even if you are going through something hard. When Woo Jun

stayed in Him, even though he endured eight months of torture and countless days of

trials, he stayed in God. A good attitude will make people want to be around you and to

hear you out. When Woo Jun reached out to the Police Commander, he showed the care

and love he felt for the young beggars. That good attitude made all of his plans happen,

his institute, his orphanage. All because he believed that Jesus could make it all happen, even though he has been through the worst.

Negativity comes from bad attitude. When someone is not positive about a dream

or a goal, the possibility of achieving that dream will be slim. Woo Jun, even through the

times when he had absolutely nothing, believed that God would provide, and He did.

Determination is needed in a person who has a good attitude. Going to the beggar

That is way when someone who is persistent shows his

good attitude by how much he cares about these poor boys.

From my own experience, having a good attitude in sad times, help make you not

as depressed or the feeling that it’s all over. When my uncle committed suicide, it was

very hard. Staying in a good attitude and trusting in God the whole time, made me

become more close to my aunt and cousins, that was a blessing to me. God will always

bless you, even if he isn’t at the moment, if you stand in him, it will surely pay off in the

future.

Lets take the terrorists attacks for instance. Everyone can get completely freaked

out and feel like it's the end. When Christ lives in you, you have peace. Trusting in God

that he will provide will show everyone the peace you get in Christ. Showing off that

good attitude in hard times, helps those who don't have His peace, who feel like they are

alone. Good attitude in hard times saves lives, prevents disaster, and changes peoples

hearts forever. Woo Jun had every reason to leave God in his time in captivity, but he

didn't because he new that Christ would give him joy and peace, and one day bless

Rousseau as Machiavelli does warn regarding certain religions. Rousseau speaks against Christianity. Rousseau believes Christians live in their own planet and he explains that their world is not here on earth, “But this religion, since it has no particular relation to the body politic, leaves the laws with only the force the derive from themselves without adding any force to them, and, due to this, one of the great bonds of any particular society remains ineffectual” Rousseau, Jean-Jacques, 268). Rousseau goes more in detail in his argument against Christianity and believes Christianity alone can lead to vice and destruction in any regime, “What is more, far from attaching the citizens’ hearts to the state, it detaches them from it as it does from all earthy things. One ironic truth that is shared among all living organisms is the matter of death. As fatality is inevitable, death and its relation with one's existence has always concerned thinkers, and philosophy, being the field of evaluating ideas, has given the chance to these thinkers to explore the true meanings of life and death. Among all great philosophers who have tackled this subject in their lifetime, the similarities between Socrates and Buddha's approach towards death is astonishing. In his essay, Dialogues with Death, Matthew Dillon explores the similarities between Buddha and Socrates' principles on the subject of death. Claiming that 'openness,' 'equanimity,' and self-assurance in the way of life is the shared fundamental schooling of these two noble teachers in account, Dillon uses Plato's Phaedo and…
