Van Gogh biography

The artist I am researching is Vincent Willem Van Gogh. He was born on March 30th 1853 in Zundert Netherlands. He died on July 29 1890, he was 37 years old when he died. He died at Auvers-Sur-Oise, France from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Van Gogh’s primary form of artwork was paintings. Almost all the paintings of his were oil paintings. His style of art was mostly scenery or things that he saw around him. Van Gogh struggled with mental illness and he remained poor and unknown throughout his life as an artist. “If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.” There is another artist that paints like Van Gogh and his name is Oscar Claude Monet.
