Synopsis:
When Panera Bread was first created, most fast food restaurants offered mostly hamburgers and fries, however CEO Schaich wanted to separate Panera from the rest and offered fresh sandwiches, artisan breads, along with soups and salads.
Panera has three different types of segments in their business model: fresh dough or product operations, bakery-café, and franchise operations.
